Famous small-screen actress Dipika Kakar shared openly that she has stage 2 liver cancer. The actress reported that she was suffering from abdominal pain, and then she had to see a doctor, which ended up uncovering a tumor in her liver the size of a tennis ball. After a series of tests, the tumor was found to be malignant.

Dipika posted a teary-eyed Instagram post to share her journey. “Walking into the hospital for pain in the upper area of my stomach and then hearing ‘its a tennis ball-sized tumour in the liver’… followed by we have ‘a second-stage malignant (cancerous) tumour’ has been one of the hardest times of our lives.”

Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, has been keeping her fans up to date about her health on social media. He reported that Dipika had been admitted to the hospital for fever and pain, which had caused her to postpone her scheduled surgery.

He later confirmed that Dipika had been released from the hospital and that she would recover at home. The television industry and her fans have come together in prayer and support for Dipika. Co-stars from “Sasural Simar Ka, including Avika Gor and Jayati Bhatia and Gaurav Khanna and Gauahar Khan amongst others, have taken to social media to wish her a speedy recovery.

Dipika has remained hopeful and expresses gratitude for the support of her family and well-wishers through this trying time. She finished her message by saying, “Please keep me in your prayers.” As she begins this difficult road to recovery, the entertainment industry and her fans continue to send her strength and positive thoughts.
