John Krasinski was named PEOPLE magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, a surprise to the actor and his fans. Not to mention the award has been talked about more than seasons one through nine regarding his role as Jim Halpert on “The Office,”
started, produced, and starred in different types of movies, such as the horror film “A Quiet Place,” and directed and acted in the action series “Jack.” When the request came through the waves, Krasinski laughed and said that he thought he was being “punked” when the announcement of People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive came in. Emily Blunt, his wife, laughed uncontrollably, declaring that the title most likely meant he would have to take on more household duties. Jokingashis wife was, Krasinski said, he was humbled and glad for the experience since the recognition is a special goblet to take home.
Krasinski is otherwise a family man, despite all his Hollywood red carpets and movie sets. He and Blunt will be married for 15 years in July 2025 and have two daughters, Hazel and Violet. Krasinski has been fairly vocal about the pros and cons of being a parent, and for him, it is really important for him to keep the family unit intact while still being able to work in Hollywood.
The professional side of Krasinski showcases his diversified career. He comes from a comedic background from “The Office” to directing a suspense thriller like “A Quiet Place” and on-boarding even more diversified films. In October 2023, he starred opposite Natalie Portman in the Apple TV+ film “Fountain of Youth” directed by Guy Ritchie, which gives a great example of this diversity.
Taking over the throne of Sexiest Man Alive, Krasinski appeared to take it all in stride. He gave humorous advice to the next year’s victor, telling them to “buckle up,” and enjoyed a rather good-natured rapport with the PEOPLE editor. It seems like he is just an outgoing, authentic, and friendly person who is quick-witted and true to himself with charm, demeanor, and humor.
All in all, John Krasinski is a great choice for Sexiest Man Alive; a role model for looking good in all of his other roles, humility, modesty, and showing relatable characteristics. Whether he is in our living room on television (enlarged) or just in his groggiest home moment, he is a well-balanced modern day leading man who has handled fame briskly.
