Breaking news from the fabulous sphere of Cannes, Urvashi Rautela made a royal entrance, not with a film, not with an award, but with a ₹4 lakh parrot in her hand!
That’s right. While others brought style, grace, and cinema, Urvashi brought a luxury bird that looked as if it was straight out of a diamond jungle safari.
Dressed in a sparkly pink gown, holding her blinged-out bird like a trophy, Urvashi did everything to stand out — and stand out she did. Just not in the way she intended. Social media, as usual, wasted no time taking Urvashi’s Cannes debut and turning it into meme culture.
People said things like:
– “Is this Cannes or a classy animal convention?”
– “₹4 lakh parrot and no fashion sense, how tragic!”
– “Someone tell her it is a film festival, not a wildlife fundraiser.”
Fashion critics were not to be kind either, using words like “confusing”, “extra”, “why, just why?” as if they were confetti. Even the parrot looked like it regretted going.
What was supposed to be a jaw-dropping and eye-catching moment transformed into a bit of a head-scratching moment when all was said and done. Sadly, Urvashi did not excite on Day 1, even given the heavy price point and feathery drama.
